A key skill for a web designer is making sure the developer's build matches the original design.

An average designer who takes the time to thoroughly QA their work will produce better results than even the most talented designer who can't be bothered.

This means checking every detail to make sure everything looks and works as it should.

Often, a website's quality comes from fixing lots of small details—like adjusting font sizes, layouts, and proportions. It takes time, but it’s worth it.

As you can see from my spreadsheet full of amends, it might seem tedious, but every small adjustment contributes to a polished final product.

Here’s how to do it well:
→ Remember to check device sizes
→ Focus on small details for big results
→ Give specific feedback (e.g. exact font sizes, spacing at certain breakpoints)
→ Prioritise what matters most
